Lucia is a Latina-Jewish
actor, singer, musician, & writer.
Lucia is a multi-hyphenate artist and recent graduate of Northwestern University. Her vocal training spans a wide range of styles, from pop-rock to jazz standards, effortlessly transitioning from the edgy grit of contemporary pop to the intricate storytelling of musical theatre classics, all while remaining true to her distinct vocal stylings. As an actor, she has honed her craft through the study of practical aesthetics, exploring contemporary texts alongside the works of Shakespeare, the Greeks, and Chekhov.
Born and bred on the East Coast, Lucia now calls Brooklyn home. With a Jewish father from Boston and a Mexican-Indigenous mother from New Mexico, Lucia’s heritage has never fit neatly into one box. Her multifaceted identity has deeply shaped her artistic voice and perspective.
During college, Lucia played Chana in INDECENT and made her professional debut as a swing in THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY at The Marriott Theatre where she covered and performed the roles of Maria Elena Santiago, Shirley, and Vi Petty, stepping into these parts over ten times.
As an emerging playwright, Lucia’s play THE MAD GIRLS was workshopped in collaboration with Northwestern’s Jewish Theatre Ensemble. She is deeply passionate about developing new works, both as an actor and writer, and has worked on readings through The American Music Theatre Project.
Lucia regularly performs at iconic venues like The Green Room 42 and Birdland Jazz Club.
In her free time, Lucia enjoys discovering new restaurants, listening to podcasts and audiobooks (currently favorites include Las Culturistas and My Name is Barbra), and practicing yoga and pilates.
